I can’t believe that the holiday season is fast approaching. I hope you all enjoyed the fantastic summer like I did. With the new season comes new adventures for the McHugh family. We (my family and Blue Ridge staff) are starting off the Fall with a trip to Washington DC. Our whole staff will be attending the American Dental Association Annual meeting there. And, while we educate ourselves in Dentistry, my family will also be taking trips to the White House, Capitol, Smithsonian, and the Spy Museum. My kids are most excited about the Spy Museum.
I’m excited about a few things I would like to share. Both of my girls are in middle school…close to having 2 teenagers in the house…yikes! My oldest daughter, Kate (13), is one of the rare ones who is hoping for a snowy winter, so she can get back to ski racing. She can’t wait to get out on the slopes and perfect her form. My younger daughter, Megan (12), is starting a new hockey season. She has to deal with me as the coach another year…so fun to be on the ice with her again. My wife, Andrea, has just accepted a new volunteer role at RAGOM (Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota) that she is very excited about. I told her we don’t have enough room for another puppy. We will see who wins that battle! She also will be teaching a pre-Algebra math class at Excelsior Elementary.
Personally, I am looking forward to taking some implant classes in December and March and am very excited to offer our patients another option for missing teeth. The Holiday season will be filled with friends and family for us. Outside of work, you can find me at the hockey rink, the local ski slope, or walking the dogs.
Please enjoy a few photos from the last month.
